Dave Townsend's '55 Chevy, sporting a blown big block that puts down ~1100hp through a (brand deleted due to the fact that I don't work there and they don't pay me) 2 disc 8.5" clutch and Jericho transmission. It -is- a blast drive.

  • What size of engine is this brother? I Was wanting to find out how big of engines you could put in these things.

  • @clofgtjc Blown 540.

  • 1000hp my fucking asshole

  • @moi579 Thank you for qualifying your intelligence.

  • my car is 1001hp but I can't do a burnout or a wheelie. maybe the radio is draining ohms from the carb or something...

  • @kenfo0 Perhaps you need a Chevy Volt parked next to it to help overcome the resistance.

  • @jdkeating1 I'm glad that part of your anatomy performs that action for you.

  • I run 1000+ hp cars, in fact my NHRA Dragster is in the shop getting ready for the season. I have to agree, this without a doubt, is NOT 1'000 hp car. I too would like to see the Dyno slips. This is a nice car, but honestly, I don't think this guy even knows what 1'000 hp feels like, or what it can do. Again, NICE car, but not 1'000 hp. I came across this video looking for paint schemes for my car, I didn't come here to slam it.

  • @sanmateo05 Right on man. Thx a lot for the help. Long live the 55 baby. Love the color. Enjoy and be safe out there.

  • Sick Bel air, what motor do you have, and what blower?

  • Great Chevy, and I love your comebacks xD

  • @jimdesbiens look begin of video ;P

  • Can this car turn corners!!!

  • I love how EVERYBODY here is an "expert" .... am I the only amateur?

  • nice nice 55 hot rod

  • @th3m8ngtree a 55 Chevy was not a particularly heavy car. Low to mid 3000 pound range. A new Vette weighs about the same or maybe 1 or 200 pounds less at most.
