My Amateur Interior Design- Non Conventional! Give your comments

It is in my own middle class house in Bangalore! It looks modern, cut- bend- flat- Dark, Bright, White, Metallic, Shiny, Edgy, Stamped, Non Hidden, Large, Small, Falling, Deep, Shallow, tinted dark glass, No Wooden finish, No curves, No doors and spacy in Living/Dining room, and just the opposite in my family lounge above, with vintage rosewood and teakwood furniture, old Kerala rice box, Almara (200yrs old!). Some people said- great! Some said sh.. ! What do you say?
(Sorry for my exageration- that is what I wanted it to be- I have to do more on it!)

The right hand side of the room looks like it was designed by a completely different person than the left side of the room. The left is ultra modern but the right is old granny. Just my opinion obviously!

@elvis459 You are perfectly right. I am still trying to make the right hand side as modern as the left hand side. Just wait! I have almost designed it! It will be mod-mod!! If I had your email, I would have sent the design for your comments because your comment is just right! (You know I am working away in Middle East and no time to really sit and do it at Bangalore!)

what floors have you used?

@kamranshere76 It is 'marbnonite' tiles (fully vitrified ceramic tiles) of 2 ft x 2 ft size. If properly laid it will fit exactly to each other showing a thin dividing line.
