I can pray this in thai '& i'm twelvee. ;DDD is this thai or what language? it's similar too' thai but not pronounce exactly the same.

@hoxas777 You're right. I should have said Taghut (طاغوت) or idolatry instead. My point is that we don't believe that the Buddha was a god. He was a teacher, and we bow to him just like we bow to our teachers.

@Bakmoon ummm not quite that much it means shirk is more like anything wrong, it's like if you do something wrong that is may be shirk, you following me here ?

@hoxas777 I don't know Arabic. I just looked the words up in english and copied and pasted the Arabic word to make sure that you understand. I will rephrase what I said to make it easier: Shirk (شرك) is worshiping something that is not Allah. When we Buddhists bow to a statue, we are not worshiping it. When we bow we think about what the Buddha was like and we try to be like him. Just bowing can't be worship because you bow to the Kaaba and that is not Shirk. Does that make sense?
