United Way of South West Louisiana will be hosting about 100 18-24 year old volunteers per week for the month of March 2008, with a total around 400. All volunteers give up a week of their time during Spring Break, which is usually spent vacationing in tropical weather & soaking up the sun. Rather than the typical vacation, volunteers come from various places across the United States to help in the rebuilding efforts of South West Louisiana post Hurricane Rita. In the process they learn building, organizing, and team work skills -- all while making life long friends.
In this series of videos, referred to as BlueTube, you'll witness the power of volunteerism and it's ability to bring people from various backgrounds and locations together for a positive cause.
