@fumikomgeri Sir
Thank you for sharing this video with us. Was Okinawan/Japanese culture and Japanese language as it applies to Karatedo plus the history of Naha Te and Goju Ryu apart of the test too? Osu

@senseigrahamravey you know, thats a horribly generalised comment and shows some ignorance. Granted the women wasnt entirely keeping up, but once on the floor that happens to alot of people. I personally know more men than women who struggled with their grading. I've trained with women who have been far more competent. So easy to comment negatively or ignorantly when it is not you in the video. Have some respect for these student, male and female.

@fumikomgeri I agree with everything you say. I actually wouldnt want my grading being taped...I bet I would look right sloppy. I will pass Simon your regards when I see him next. Osu!
the music kinda kills it for me....

not sure what to say, I myself never grade as good as I am in the dojo. I also appreciate they will have probably trained before this video was taken. But if you watch it back you must admit that there is a few ropey techniques and school boy errors. One guy doing sanchin turns his fist whilst its by his side and then punches etc etc. Have a look, but to be fare grading is not just about the day. You shouldnt be asked to grade by your sensei unless you know it, so some allowance can be made.

@gojuryudan
You're right about previous training that day,and the one before, you're right about some things being a bit ropey. However, we have the advantage of Action Replay, the Examiners don't, and they can't see everyone all the time. But, I take your point. Other than myself and, I believe, someone else who's name escapes me at the moment, I know of no one who has done a perfect grade. :-)) A bit embarrassing really. Give my regards to Simon I ain't seen him for a while.

fumikoi - sorry f this offends however i am not looking at her lack of power, but rather the skill level she offers within her techniques i.e. roundhouse kick
as regards the number should they not spread out the Dan grades which would offer each grading karateka more attention - a after all i am sure they have paid enough for grading fees and club fees throughout the ri training time

@karate1970 No offence taken at all:-) However I stand by my statement,as you do yours. So I guess we'll have to agree to differ.
