I want to make a point on something she said about God not giving us more than we can handle. Ive learned in the last year that is not really true and it is not biblical. In fact God does give us more then we can handle because he wants to carry us through it. Losing my brother was not something i could handle but Jesus picked me up and I am here today because of the people he put in my life to show me what his word said when i was blinded with grief and anger.

The scripture above confirms that what we go through is indeed bearable but it also shows that our ability to bear and overcome these circumstances is through the way he has made, and Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6).

temptation is different from tragedy. Job went through deaths of his children. this person is talking about the tragedy of their brother's death. that Scripture is talking about temptation and how we will have a way of escape.
