A test animation of a snap suplex for the independently produced pro wrestling game Pro Wrestling INSPIRE. I made this to get a feel for the models and how they work. This animation WILL NOT be part of the game.
There are a number of things wrong with this animation:
1. It moves too fast. This is because the framerate was set at 30FPS while I was animating it. It was after the fact that I realized this and set it to 60FPS like it should have been.
2. Choppy movement right before impact with the ground. The keyframe interpolation was causing incorrect positioning of the models. I had to add extra keyframes, but it still came out looking off.
3. Stiff animation. I'm somewhat new to animation to be honest and I still need to work on getting things more lifelike.
4. No movement after animation. This is intention since other animations will be blended in during the gameplay. By itself though, it looks a little odd.
There are other things that I'm not happy with about the animation, but generally I think it's a good first attempt. This is why I'm doing practice animations first!
Way to fast, you should have animated more spots on the move, make the perfomer doing the suplex move his feet more on the fall, make an impact or something Make an impact when both wrestlers land on the mat. This looks like a rush job.
