The end of this stage (for us at least) is now immortalized in Eric Bana's "Love The Beast" film - where I make a short appearance! Skip to the last two minutes to see the bit that Eric thought worthwhile enough to put in his film, RPM played it every Sunday as the opening to their show. • thanks for the comments!

yes, I thought I had saved it - the crash seemed to go on for EVER.. was hoping for what seemed like a minute that it might fall back on the wheels. actually took about 2 seconds :-)

This clip was used by Eric Bana in the film "Love The Beast" so part of my arm is very famous. It's a Nissan GTR V Spec N1. And that day was rather wet - and my first real outing in the wet in that car, something like 14 other drivers joined me in the sad wagon that day.

  • well I wish my video was a bit longer :-)

  • They should have cancelled the race, appalling conditions.

  • What a shame. You were driving so appropriately for the conditions too. I navigated in TT in 09 and thankfully it was a lot drier. Best wishes for future events.

  • im guessing that was a porsche or a skyline u were driving?

  • You were so close to avoiding that, caught the slide but its a damn shame the back of the car collided with the bank. I know this road oh so well, and in these conditions too after having do some work at Scottsdale for a few days during the severe flooding we had last year.

  • Impressive driving, shame about the end!!

While in Tassie last year I drove a rented X-Trail up this part of the road - nowhere near as quickly though!

    Good stuff :)

  • some really good saves before the roll too...

  • My video would have been 10 sec long.

would love to see top gear enter
