PIANO TUTORIAL OF Matt & Kim's "Daylight"

I teach the song very slowly. It's kinda long, I understand, but this tutorial was a request by my friend, Jasmin. (So, if you're reading this, Jasmin... Hello! :D) She wanted me to teach her, so, for her benefit (and yours), I wanted it to be slow and specific.

THE NOTES:

If any of you guys and gals can read music or know what notes there are on the keyboard and just wanna skip over this video, here are the notes:

(The left hand notes are played on a lower octave than the right hand notes.)

LEFT Hand:

1. D - D 8x
2. A - A 8x
3. F# - F# 8x
4. E - E 8x

RIGHT Hand:

1. C# - A - B - C# - B - A - C# - C#
2. C# - A - B - C# - B - A - E - C#
3. C# - A - B - C# - B - A - B - A
4. C# - A - B - C# - B - A - B - A

  • Great tutorial I've been trying to find some beginner songs that I actually listen to, but I have one question, are the left hand notes played on the same octave as the right hand or or is it one lower?

  • @Ethandewitt Great question! The left hand notes are played on a lower octave than the right ones. I should add that on the description.

  • You should be a piano teacher! This video was FABULOUS! Thanks for posting! I know it now!

  • @MajesticAlexis Hehe, I'm very flattered, lol. You're welcome! :D Happy playing!
