This is me aboard the mighty 2007 Suzuki Hayabusa... The bike is 100% stock apart from twin Yoshi mufflers. I am doing approx. 185 MPH when I pass the camera, and immediately let off the throttle. This was at the top of 5th gear..... and yes, 'Busa's have a 6th gear but there isnt a need for it with the stock 186 MPH speed limiter. Pretty quick if i do say so myself... Please no stupid and far too common "thats not 186 MPH".... you can clearly hear i am in 5th gear, look it up before you post something stupid...

  • @f7ipper If it takes a couple miles for you to reach 179 mph on a busa then you have a problem, because I can go over 190mph in less than a mile on my busa and all I have is k&n filter, two brothers exhaust, and smart tre.

  • @spokentruthfully fair enough bloke - I just remembered that we are all carrying luggage when we're in the outback - which is a problem. . .

  • @f7ipper Ok so your telling me that my busa (it runs 9.8 @ over 145 mph in 1/4 mile by the way) can't accelerate to more than 186 mph from 145 mph in another 3/4 mile? Trust me if your a stock busa can't top out in less than a mile then you have a problem.

  • @spokentruthfully I ride with 5 other busas, gen 1 and gen 2. some are stock and others tuned. If you choose to take notice of your speedo you are deluding yourself. We get tuning done by Phil Tainton, factory race bike tuner for Suzuki in Australia, among others. The best anyone has done on a gps is 296 kph. This was a tuned gen 2 on the pin for over a minute - about 4 miles. Even a stock busa will show 300 kph on the speedo within a mile.

  • Is this in Arizona?

  • That was not 186 maybe 145 -155

  • I ride a 2007 busa also. Like all busas the speedo reads about 10% high. 186 on a busa speedo is really 171mph. The best I've done fully wound out in outback Australia is 179 mph according to the gps. I run gutted cans, major airbox mods and dyno tuning via a power comander. It also takes a couple of miles to get up to that speed. . .

  • uh, not even close to 160

  • I guarantee you that was not 186 mph. Check out the 2010 R1 top speed flyby. That's a video with a true 187! MPH FLYBY. You can tell because it looks freaking ridiculous. : )
