GAY EVOLUTION

In the process of evolutionary development - Homo erectus is considered the first transitional link that distinguished man from ape demonstrating anatomy and behavioral patterns considered distinctly human. One form of behavior not exclusive to man is that of same sex attraction which is found among virtually every mammalian species on earth today. Through archeological findings and the study of "primitive" tribes - scientists are concluding that homosexuality not only existed at the beginning of mankind - but that homosexual men played an integral part in assuring the survival of the species. While at the same time we contributed to the groups defense - gay men increased the capacity for production of food without straining often times limited resources by producing offspring. And in so doing - gay men also fulfilled what scientists have identified as the most powerful influence on the behavior of living things - the drive to pass on their genes to the next and future generations.

How is that possible when we gay men aren't inclined toward reproduction? An interesting theory posits that due to mitochondrial-DNA being passed exclusively from mother to child - a man's genetic identity is more closely associated with his siblings and their offspring (nieces/nephews) than a father is to his own child. Therefore as gay men contributed to the survival of the family group - he assured the survival of his most closely identified genomes present in the children of his female siblings.

The purpose of this video is not only to celebrate one of life's most beautiful creations - man - but also to create an artistically visual experience that presents the animalistic nature of early man and the deeply rooted carnal desires that reside in the psyche of modern man to this day. No nudity or sexually "provocative" images appear in this video as its intent is to transcend the act itself - and in so doing - to eschew the obvious for the subtle - to focus on the symbolism that defines us as humans and to address the ultimate question - will our final evolutionary step become the asexual production of our prodigy - AI (artificial intelligence)? ABOUT THE MUSIC

"2001: A Space Odyssey. An original score was created by Alex North for this 1968 film but Stanley Kubrick (Producer/Director/Co-writer) decided he wanted his film to be a non-verbal experience and rejected North's soundtrack in favor of "guide music" that he had been using throughout filming.

"Closer/Closer To God" by the industrial rock group Nine Inch Nails. Written by lead singer and song writer Trent Reznor in 1994 it appeared on the album "The Downward Spiral." Although heavily censored (perhaps because of) this song became the groups biggest hit up to that time. The version in this video is an original remix.

No doubt this, both artisticly and technically, was first rate work. Nevertheless, because of the black and white shifts and the short clips, the video as a whole had a certain annoying blinking effect when watching, distracting me from the artistic message, as well as the music and pictures. But it was a very well made video. Proving both technical skill and artistic talent.:-)
