  • Saw this last year on Channel 13. I was glued to the TV. Fascinating.

  • Great film. It's now available on Netflix instant!

  • I thought it was called 'village of the dolls' ? such expression in the dolls faces - even in the eyes - hes a true artist. (for someone to destroy somebody elses life they should get LIFE in prison - they deserve to pay) he even whispers sorry when he has to remove the dolls head - poignant stuff indeed

  • poor bloke!

  • @catothewiser

It'll make more sense if you watch it

  • Saw it last night--really amazing, touching, inspiring, thought provoking. And more!

  • This was great. I saw it on Netflix and it was very touching. Very inspiring.

  • @Riverdante the movie gives you the majority of the picture, something the museum exhibit could never do. the documentary made me appreciate marwencol a lot while i can understand that an exhibition showing just pictures would make people look at these images in a completely different and objective way. More as "the art of photography". which is not what marwencol is about, therefor destroying the idea behind it.

  • @wildcaligal my dear you CAN take them out of the box...but i believe you don't cause you fear they will lose their "collectability" and hence their "value"...what about the true value that only the experience of joy can bring? take one of your favorite barbies out of itz box and invite a neighborz daughter or a niece over and play! thats the true value of those dolls. to bring joy to a child...and to you.unless achieving the ultimate mark-up iz more important to you and gives more satisfaction

  • so they think a museum exhibit might destroy Marwencol but an indie documentary about it is totally cool gotcha
