  • this is really good :p but how the hell did you do that ball in the mirror thing? I mean, i struggeled to animate an iris to open and close :S

  • @tarrizzzzzzzzz Do you mean how did I do the actual ball animation or the reflection? The ball was just a bunch of random torus shapes with some delay on the animation, not sure, probably something with mograph but I don't really remember as this was from over 2 years ago.

    hmm... yeah...

what resolution are you shooting in anyway? :p I only got a DV PAL camcorder, and my syntheyes matchmoving aren't really working :S

  • @tarrizzzzzzzzz i don't remember, but it defiantly wasn't HD. I think it might have been just like the video on my point-and-shoot camera. I think SynthEyes is really meant to use HD, as I had a lot of issues with trackers (I had to re-shoot a few "scenes" multiple times to get it to take)

  • It annoyed me a bit that you didn't bother to extend the plate and make the thing in the mirror cast shadows to.. Because this is great work:D

Love the sight of your MacBook Pro also;) It's still a week till I get mine.

  • It's an 'old' PowerBook, not a MacBook Pro (I wish it were though). Enjoy yours. :)

  • @peelugum haha, how random, i actually got one for christmas :D it's amazing :p

only thing that bothers me is the skew :/ kinda makes tracking difficult at times. . .

wish i had CS5.5, that would help, but i only got CS5 :/

  • @tarrizzzzzzzzz pick up a canon t2i for like $600, shoots awesome dof and 1080p

  • Its always creepy when you cant see the shadow in the mirror...

  • hi would you be able to explain how you got the shadows for the last clip, i know how to enable shadows when a light is present, but i'd imagine you'd need a plane for the shadow to cast onto? how do you render the object and its shadow and nothing else?

    thanks.

  • @airdeck

yeah I've got the same problems, as I'm shooting in DV resolution :S

  • Looks good my Friend. Check out some of my matchmoving tests, maybe youll like them as well. . . have a good day
