This video features live film of Aljechin playing Euwe, and also of Aljechin playing a "living chess game" with humans as pieces.

The soundtrack contains part of a radio interview with Alekhine.

@esraretin To reach the top in any sport, there are at least 7 elements needed: 1. you must be gifted, 2. as a child and later, you must have a stimulating environment, 3. you must have the occasion (money, time) and 4. the energy to 5. practice and study for hours and hours, 6. you must enjoy what you are doing and 7. you will still need that little bit of luck to get you at the top. But more important than reaching the top is: YOU CAN ENJOY PLAYING THE GUITAR OR A GAME OF CHESS AT ANY LEVEL !

Excellent footage. Yes I do beliove that Alekhine is correct. The best top tier players are born with a predisposition to genious, yet that does not mean that hard work daily is also not required. Alekhine, Capablanca, Morphy, Tal, Fischer, Karpov, Kasparov etc., all were born with this gift and all worked hard as well
