  • all too familiar. The healing is a lifelong process. Public does NOT understand, they choose ignorance... asking 'whats wrong with you?' or 'why dont you just leave'... hurts. Its not that simple. Well put together.

  • One more thing: the government wil NOT help a victim with relocation, funds, you will get a 3 week stay at some shelter at the most or half way house, uproot, and even after you leave the abuser, kids might be taken away by the court system even way after a Mom left the abuser. They help none 4 a victim 2 leave town or restart her life, they sue both the mom and the father for custody. Sued as victim for no reason. Why don't they only sue the offender ? Why the sue the victim, WHY ?

  • DV causes PTSD for sure. Nothing causes more trauma when one is the victim though and after a Mom already left the abuser the state still tries to take the Mom's children away for no reason at all. Terrible social injustice, the DV and family LAWS need to be changed !How can they sue the victim for custody without an investigation? Why don't they sue the offender only and not the Mom who called the cops for protection? Obviously she called the cops 4 help but then woman faces losing her kids !
