WE HAD A JEEP STUCK IN THE MUD ON SAFARI IN SOUTH AFRICA (KRUGER PARK) AND IT WAS GETTING DARK. THE GUIDES PULLED OUR JEEP IN BETWEEN THE STUCK ONE AND THE LION SO THEY COULD WORK TO GET THE JEEP OUT WITHOUT THE LION SEEING THEM. IT WAS GETTING DARK AND HE WAS NOT TO HAPPY WE WERE ON HIS TURF. WE WERE TOLD THIS WAS A TERRITORIAL ROAR. WE WERE ONLY ABOUT 50 FEET AWAY. They got all of the group out of the stuck Jeep and we were all left on the other side of the pond while our guides went back in the dark and pulled out the Jeep.

  • Did the jeeps have windows or could the lion charge and bite your heads off?

If no windows I would be scared to be stuck in the mud.

  • No windows it was an open air jeep...full of tasty people
