Here is a video of the Panasonic Jet-Flo vacuum. The vacuums works decently, but the belts need replaced and the idler bearings either need oiled or are bad.

  • i must say that the bearings are shot

it sounds like the armature is rubbing on the stator bars

  • @animebsd Not really sure. Never took it apart to look at it lol. I did find another Jet-flo that pretty much sounds the same, and it's a direct drive model without the brushroll idler.

  • What was you sucking up with it?

  • I think it was crunched up styrofoam beads.

  • @800kirby Yes

  • @800kirby yes it dose i have a Jet Flo too

  • odds are it uses 608S bearings

  • @general0ne Yeah, I understand.

  • Could be. I never looked into it though - too many projects :P I think the motor's fine though - this model has a little plastic idler and two belts to turn the brush roll on and off for carpet or bare floors, and I think that was what was making the noise.
