  • It's not designed to be a thermos. I have had mine for nearly two years (Guyut). I painted it themo black and I use it to boil drinking water and sometimes I cook rice or noodles in it. I carry the bottle in a Maxpedition 10x4 carrier which I sling over my shoulder. The bottle also fits my MSR water purifier. While on a hunt or hike I carry the Guyut and two Nalgene canteens for a total of three quarts.

I've found the bottle to be an effective tool.

  • @pappyhighlife i use it like i do my normal nalgene's. Just to heavy for my likes,. but serves role non the less

  • I have the same bottle and it is the worst thing I bought in 30 years of camping. Put coffee in it , it's too hot to hold, cold it sweats, cook in it too hot to handle. I got ine from canteen shop , called them, they dont answer the phone or emails. Lesson learned!!! I have to say other than not answering the phone or returning emails they do have some nice stuff. this is the first item that I bought from them that truly S@#s. Buyer beware!

  • @StatenIslandPrepper i got an eco bottle coolie for it. But it does heat up and sweat alot. Like i said for 9$ it works, but feel there is better stuff out there.

  • @delta69alpha with the coolie it was $60.00 !!!!!

  • @StatenIslandPrepper neoprene coolie i have for it cost 5$ at big lots. eco-highway is the make.
