Studio Recording of Bittersweet Symphony Acoustically done by Richard Ashcroft. I heard on Howard Stern's show this was one of the last times he could perform this song due to legal disputes over it. Recorded at Sirius Satellite in New York, NY.

  • I'm really glad you all like this post. Again I do not own the rights to this in any way. I think Richard Ashcroft & The Verve band members also don't know who owns this. Cheers!

  • Here it is. Rapid share says only 10 times. Sorry.... Here we go: h!!p://rapidshare.c0m/files/196243157/Bittersweet_Symphony__Acoustic_.mp3.h!!l

  • NOT "fuck the rolling stones", more like "fuck greedy record companies"...

  • The Stones didn't sue for plagiarism. ABKCO owns the rights to the Stones old catalog and they sued.

  • love this rendition

  • Ashcrofts such a legend

  • Love the Rolling Stones, but what a bunch of jerks for claiming plagiarism from "The Last TIme"... The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony is a unique composition that blows "The Last TIme" away!

  • brilliant....!!!!!

  • to say the rolling stones "wrote" and "deserve" 100% of the royalties is utterly ridiculous and disgusting.

The powerful lyrics + arrangements made the song

Proof is that Odlham's version is great but never went to be a "world success"

Rolling Stones "The Last Time" song actually plagariazed "This May Be The Last Time", recorded by The Staple Singers in 1950.

So why on earth do the stones alone deserve 100% royalties?

Why not the Verbe or Oldham or the Staple Singers.

    Are the RS that poor?

  • Richard Ashcroft - THE BEEEST singer in the world ;)

  • FUCK THE ROLLING STONES.......
