  • Everyday Math is the reason kids are flunking math and have to take remedial classes upon entering college.

What a shame these snake-oil salesmen are selling this garbage to people.

  • @jamesblackburnlynch - Don't tell me what I know. I USED THIS CRAPPY BOOK. It is dumbed down and even the teacher find it confusing. This mother is on the ball. She also should not let her children go to BHS, they teach Marxism via the IB program from the UN.

  • Everyday Math Sucks like jaredvaldez4

  • Everyday Math is the reason I am struggling with basic aritmentic in my calculus class. Please do away with this as to not hurt our children in the future!

  • @themaclady Whether this book is lousy or not, your claim isn't true. Over 40% of students have required remedial math since the 70's. This book isn't to blame. It was created to address the problem. Clearly, it may not be working. However, the old system (systems really) is how we got where you are talking about.

  • I couldn't disagree more with UncleJoey12. I'm a teacher and found that EDM made my kids thinkers. They learned multiple ways to understand things then chose to use the way that made sense to them.

One size fits all does not work. Everyone looks at the world in their own unique way. Teaching multiple strategies is the right way to go. EDM works if it is taught by open-minded teachers who know what their doing.
