It makes me happily speechless to hear in what most taste- and beautiful way this magical composition is interpreted here by this true artiste. Thank You!!!
I also meant to write that I am going to feature this video on my channel in the next few days. My channel’s following is small, but I think those who do follow it will really enjoy your performance.
Kalimankou Denkou has been one of my favorite songs ever since I first heard it over 20 years ago. I am so used to hearing it sung – indeed all chord structures and progressions of that ilk sung – that it never crossed my mind that it would sound good any other way – especially on a steel guitar. Thank you for posting this. You did such an excellent job!
That's a pedal steel, more commonly used in country music. However, that's just a historical accident - it's no more limited than a "fiddle" or piano. Look up "Pedal Steel Guitar 3/6" and find the Japanese duo, for example.
Never thought I'd hear a lap steel in association with the great song. Pretty danged cool. This vid makes me want to see and hear this woman play the lap steel more, more! Mighty nice!
