    The Runaways had 2 problems:1.Kim Fowley's direction exploited them as sex objects, and 2.Ahead Of Their Time. One the one hand, Fowley got them gigs & a recording contract, but on the other hand, the style he chose for them insured that they wouldn't be taken seriously as a BAND. If they had formed, say, 1-2 years later, (without Fowley in the picture) influenced by The Ramones, Dammed, Dead Boys, etc, they could have been The Great Female Punk Rock Band.

    woaahh i never said it was bad or anything. I could careless about niki or taylor honestly. I was just saying people back then looked older. Not just the girls in this band their generation in general. And its her looks the way they dress and their makeup made them seem older and their face characteristics just seem older than their age most of the time.

    I'm not sure he was thinking of this, but, this explanation will possibly make sense. Without drugs, there is the possibility of all of that not happening. It brings out a whole new dimension to a person. Even something as small as one little hit of cannabis. It doesn't necessarily have to be the effects of the drug, but, the fact that you can hide behind it and say it wasn't 'really' you. Get where I'm going? If it wasn't for the drugs, these people wouldn't have had the spine to say "FUCK YOU"
