What Tadparis has written is a nonsense: how does it follow that because Matthew has critiqued others' food in the past he now can't cook in front of a camera himself? In relation to greyreview's insightful offering, it seems to me that some people in this world, unfortuneately, have chips on their shoulders and resent talented, charming people such as Matthew who are brilliant at what they do. Thanks for a great recipe Matthew - I'm looking forward to preparing it for Xmas!
greyreview+tadparis - what pathetic comments to make having not met the man or eaten his food - i have. thoroughly small minded and clearly driven by an intense lack of imagination, tolerance, or brain cells. i do hope one day you aquire an ability to make as much of a success of yourself as matthew - i am curious as to how working for the Guardian and tv programmes equates to never working a day in his life? advice - stop over lemonning your food - it has left you bitter, sour and ridiculous
tadparis, have you tried it? I have and it's great. And a witty and amusing dish.
Matthew Fort's writing always strikes me as being pretty generous, certainly when judging on televison programmes. He genuinely likes good. Good luck to the bloke.
For someone who has doled criticism on others' cooking for years, what a hypocritical thing to do. The man clearly cannot cook properly, or at least very well. If he can eat that crap and not complain, he is clearly being disingenuous in many of his harsher reviews. What a media whore. A real sell out.
