My Sig Sauer Mosquito Sport at the gun range. Filmed with a newer Nikon digital camera, it takes better video than my 4 yr old Sony especially in dimly lit areas.
I moved the from sight post to the slide because the front counter-weight always comes lose while shooting and screws up your alignment, and when you clean the gun, the counterweight comes off, and that probably also screws up your sight zero too.

  • I would like to see if anyone is getting these guns to shoot any decent groups or not? I can shoot alot tighter groups with my glock 19 (9mm) than i can with my mosquito sport. Im not at all happy with the way it shoots. Im using CCI minimags, they seem to work the best, but it still should do better i think.

  • Mine's not too bad, but I do shoot my 9mm Sig alot better also.

I compared the Federal 36 grain JHP Walmart stuff to the bulk Federal 40 grain LRN "match" ammo (also from Walmart) and the 40 grain was definitely better in both my Mosquito and in my Savage Mark 2 rifle.

  • is the sport available in two-tone??

  • yes

  • When the safety is engaged does the hammer still release when the trigger is pulled? I just bought one and I'm used to the safety on a beretta 92, which when it is engaged the trigger moves but the hammer does not. On the mosquito I just bought, with the safety engaged the hammer still releases as if the safety wasn't on at all.

  • Yes the hammer still releases, but the gun won't fire. I pulled the trigger a few times at the range with the safety on it never discharged.

  • is it just me or 0:29 look like a desert eagle?. i own this gun, great little weapon. do you know where i can find lasers and attachments and stuff?

  • wich Kind Of The Ring Do You Use ???

  • I have 3 Kimbers, the one i carry is a Pro Carry and its aluminum, its not heavy at all.

  • That's a nice gun. a 1911 was my carry gun for years until I decided it was too big and heavy for that. I always loved .22s and have shot tens of thousands of them over the years. I got a .22 conversion kit for my Bushmaster AR15 and paid $250 for that. It saved money in the end though because of how cheap the .22s are over the .223s.

  • by the way.... i just put together a full frame Kimber 1911 with a Kimber .22LR conversion (im in love with 1911's so i wanted on that i could shoot cheap) The gun all together cost 3 times what the Mosquito cost, and it does not really shoot any better. It has a MUCH better trigger than the sig, but as far as groups, the sig is wonderful.

  • ..... a thousand S L O W rounds. you dont seem to really learn anything by dumping the mag.

  • That's true. I haven't shot in years so I'm sure I'm way out of practice. Another thousand rounds ought to help me.

  • it was all me. i can shoot great groups now with the gun. i believe that most guns outshoot the person pulling the trigger

  • The safety is a firing pin block. It also has a clip safety and will not disengage the hammer if the clip is not in the gun. I really enjoy mine.

  • I am not happy with the groups I shoot with this gun. I was much happier with my Sigpro SP2009. This is a much cheaper gun though. Minimags do tighter groups than thunderbolts for me and Stingers do the tightest groups. Mine is not a sport so the barrel is shorter.
