A response to theoriginalanomaly regarding Anarcho-Capitalism

Do Anarcho-capitalists exist? What is the state? What is the role of the state? Why has the state grown? What was the aim of the founding fathers? These questions and more are answered in the following video.

  • Social anarchism is impossible on any large scale. Chomsky calls it "voluntary socialism" - who wants to volunteer themselves into socialism?

Classical liberalism, on the other hand, is as relevant as it ever was, if not more so.

  • You must have a rather strange definition of "impossible." If it is "impossible" why is it we have so many bright shining examples throughout history into the present of it working? The Spanish Revolution is perhaps the best example but we have plenty of others. My conclusion is you're ignorant of this rich history and are basing your ridiculous conclusion on that ignorance. I suggest you educate yourself. Good luck with that;)

  • Yeah, sure I was projecting. I don't really think god is a anarcho-capitalist. I thought it was funny to say it. I don't even believe in god. But isn't it also possible that you are projecting yourself? Especially on anarchism? How is extreme collectivism supposed to make individuals free? And how is this collectivism supposed to come about? It sounds an awful lot like government.

  • Yes I understand you don't quite get it. But that was the point of the video. You don't understand the terms you are using or the history behind them. Take a look back at how you used the term state. You have to at least understand what these terms mean in order to make a coherent argument.

  • Eat the rich!

    ha

i like your videos, but they're poorly put together and very messy.

  • Yes, you're quite right. I'm still learning. Hopefully I'll get better. Thanks for stopping by.

  • The Free-market is anti-profit without the state, businesses could not have the buffer between competition and the market, eliminate the enabler. Eliminate the problem.

  • @buddhagem Yes, the spanish revolution that seeked to destroy individualists in order to create a syndicate which then competed with government. It works only because it is closer to anarchy, not because it is social. The spanish anarchy worked far better when the capitalists were left alone, not when syndicative groups forced individuals to join them to fight against the spanish state. Competition accross states is not my idea of a working anarchy.

  • Then you should campaign to abolish all inheritances and put them into a universal free college-level education system. Everyone gets exactly what they work for. Because I can tell you that as things stand I will receive many things I in no way deserve as my relatives shuffle off this mortal coil.

You are not only selfish, you are a coward. Too scared that a bunch of poor kids might outdo you given access to the same range of opportunities. Pathetic.

  • No, the founding fathers did not have anarcho capitalist beliefs. The ones that were closest to that were really minarchists of varying degrees. They all believed that government was evil, but that it was also necessary.

An anarcho-capitalist, by contrast, believes in no government. He/she would never approve of the constitution.

Also, a lot of the rest of the founding fathers were in favor of big government, taxation, a central bank, protectionism and defending wealthy special interests.

  • "Delegates..." Hmmm...sounds suspicious.

  • I didn't say I was an anarchist.

You, on the other hand, support Stalin, Mao and the "anarcho"-statists of Spain.

  • "Workers are largely stupid and violent. I have no time for their "movements"." - "i am a an anarkist".

    Hehe.

Sure you are, kiddo. Sure you are.

  • You're a very unintelligent and remarkably ignorant individual. God forbid you should ever get into a position of power.

Workers are largely stupid and violent. I have no time for their "movements". And I come from an Irish peasant family, by the way.

  • Basically, you're a little gobshite shouting very loudly for the safety of your computer screen, trying to validate your genocidal, psychopathic ideas and relate them to anarchism, despite it having no basis at all.

But you're a child, and you will grow up one day. I was a twat when I was your age aswell, so there's some hope eh?

Just take a brief look at worker movements throughout history and number the times they've challenged one form of economic competition in order to prop up another.
