  • @kevinstafford64 be nice to have them in our future too

  • I can't put my finger on why, but I like John Williamson's versions better.

  • Makes you proud to know that these people were in your past

  • love this ..Diamontian Drover, shame Australia that we know and love is changing so much, this song brings back what it means to be a real Aussie.

  • Robbie Brady... I miss you like a brother

  • Well written and well played guys.

The Australian outback is an awesome thing to experience, and the Diamantina River system is a particularly good example of it's kind. It's not for the faint-hearted.

If the Australian outback can't kill you, then just about nothing could.

  • Nope, it doesn't... Most of it falls on the Barkly Tableland and some runs down the Georgina River into the Diamantina River.

  • Why is it that all the songs off "If you don't fight you lose" aren't up? Easily their best album...

  • I used to attend all the Redgum concerts I could....they were very special to me.

  • back in the eighties, we could easily picture the imagery depicted in this tale as we worked away on fixin fences in a more modern era, among the Kennedy ranges far east of of Carnarvon, we had the red and dusty vista, snowy river gum trunks an ackingly dry gascoygne and lyons river junction to make the connect. There is a spirit that whistles to men out there that can conjure up the most astounding relevatlions
