jeez he looks black!

@counterculture91 hhaha I use semi western, but not as eastern as his. it gives you a good forehand for topspin while still having that backhand ready.
-
@MysteriousStealthMan No problem! And technically Federer's forehand is slightly semi. His heel pad and index knuckle lie right on the line connecting the 3rd and 4th bevel. I've adopted this grip, and believe me, I can see why he uses it. Amazing versatility!
-
@counterculture91 oh didn't know. I thought Federer had a slight semi in his grip. but I always thought that Nadal had the full western. thanks for info.
-
@MysteriousStealthMan Actually, Federer uses a modified eastern (or extreme eastern) grip, which is directly between eastern and semi-western. Nadal doesn't use full western either, he uses more of a semi-western grip.

@RMarsenal lol Nadal's peak is 5000 RPM or something, Federer's is 3000 RPM at peak. damn Federer is using an eastern grip too? thats crazy federer, especially since Nadal is using an extreme western?

soooooo niiiiccceeeeee!!!!!

@dmh091 It's ok. I'm taking lessons and I figured it out with my instructor. I hit topspin with an eastern and there's no issue in transitioning to the one handed BH.

hevy

I believe federer might be a robot.

federer gets 2000 revolutions per min which is only second to nadal. nadal uses an extreme western grip which give plenty of topspin (nadal creates 3000 per min) however federer uses a conservative eastern grip! amazing!
