@killertctma That the way to go. Here people dont like these trucks because of the gas mileage, and people need cash, so they go cheap, and they are solid, but usually need new engines.
@Jellolion1 i have a father and grandfather that have worked on cars all their life. i spent 450 to buy the truck and about another 125 on from wires to starter and some rattle can paint and new cab mounts. im doing all the work myself cause i have the luxury of a shop thank god and ive priced everything else out. should be able to get it done with about 2-2.5k. and im not rich im pretty poor but it helps when you have a shop, work at an auto parts place (discount) and have family with skills.
@killertctma Listen to me. You are young and idealistic. We are heading into some rough economic times. Dont pour all your money down that rat hole. You will have spent 10K just to get started with yours. Lots of people are selling these for cheap, in much better condition, because of the poor mpg. Do you have any wise father figure type people to ask about this? Maybe you are very wealthy, and money means nothing to you. No? Then drive it till it drops, then junk it.
@mal68ibu2 tell me about it. I just bought a 1966 F250 in CA. Not a spot of rust on it, and the paint is still pretty good. I am driving it to work. This one looks like hell. Its for parts. Only a fool would sink money into that thing.
