Let's Play: Riven - Part 1 - In which Atrus is really vague

NOTE TO NEW VIEWERS: This was my first Let's Play, so it's a bit rough around the edges. I hope you'll enjoy it anyway.

So I thought I'd try making one of these Let's Play thingies that are all over YouTube, and what better game to choose than Riven, one of my favourite games? I enjoy watching Let's Play videos with commentary, so I also provide my own insights and comments during these videos.

In this first video, I give a little bit of background information, and we watch the introduction, in which Atrus shows us his mastery of giving extremely vague instructions. Fortunately, his journal will clear things up next time. Enjoy!

Installed this game just today. Stunning. This game was made when I was born and I apreciate the effort put into this game and myst because they only had 7 creators. But I thought myst III was also made by ubisoft.

@wario22 The GoG version should be compatible with modern systems without needing QuickTime. Buy that one.

Every few years I get the urge to play these games again. I'd get partways into Riven and just get fed up with the constant disc-swapping. Thanks for this awesome playthrough!

Also, Atrus's dad's (Gehn's) mother, Ti'Ana, was the one who destroyed D'ni. Just a random fact. I'm not sure why. Awesome narrations and I absolutely LOVE your accent!!!

Ah, this take me back. Riven was and is one of the most beautiful and imaginative games ever made. It's a shame games today can't be more like these. Good times...
