Model built by Dick Watson.
Visit http://www.selmec.org.uk for information on this and over 500 other models!

From a Marks & Spencer kit - perhaps the first model that I have made from nearly 60 years using only the parts in the set and following the instructions fairly closely.

The Spitfire is displayed on a turntable driven by an intermittent motion sourced from a "Spanner" contribution. It turns the model approximately 1/8 of a turn at a time.

The mechanism has the advantage over most others by keeping the Spitfire fixed in place when stationary instead of free to turn.
