Marvellous classic interpretation, two great artits interplaying into each other's hands with natural style, just enuf rubato, making the piece sound even better than it really is. A delectable delicacy! Thanx so much.

Arthur Rubinstein was not charitable towards Gabrilowitsch, claiming his pianism was uninspired. But Gabrilowitsch was a poet pianist; Chasins said the piano sang under his fingers! And he studied with Anton Rubinstein and Leschetizky - and even took tips from Medtner. He received training from Liadov and Glazunov, among others. This was an incredibly well-educated musician. Rubinstein, to my mind, was a great musician, too, except when he played Chopin!
