DePaul CDM new kiosk UI walkthrough

A quick walkthrough of the new interface for the DePaul University CDM information kiosks. You can see these kiosks in action in the first floor of the CDM building in downtown Chicago.

Inspired by Metro UI, built in WPF. This is a full 1080p screen capture, so it looks best full screen.

Nice work, what type of hardware did you use? How did you hook this up to your content server?

@cngabrie Hey, thanks for commenting. I forgot I shared this video here. The hardware are 2 windows 7 PCs hooked up to 42" NEC LCDs with optical sensors for the touch panel. Software wise, it's a WPF application. We used the CTA, Facebook, and Weather Underground APIs for the dynamic data.

Also curious what technology you used. Is it Flex?
