Acura TL-S Type S TLS Top Speed and Cabin Exhaust Note.

130Mph is the 07 Acura TL Type S 5spd auto Top speed Governed limited. Mainly did this video for others to hear the exhaust note in different RPMS and gears, but decided to keep going faster, Mods are - Excelerate Performance Quad tip catback Non Resonated for my 07' TL-S. I love it!!! Deep and Throaty not raspy at all, my other exhaust mods are ATLP J-pipe and RV-6 3rd Cat delete (resonated) I also have crossdrilled and slotted rotors.. The car sounds bad ass. Next mod is going to be AEM V2 CAI. Watch in HD of course and enjoy!

I have an 07 6MT and have been 138MPH ( 221KM/H), and only still only in 5th gear? Is it possible that Canadian versions aren't governed?

@ESSENCEOFDP Manual transmissions do not have the same governed speed as a auto, and i think limit out at 155mph

I find that hard to believe. no difference in 08 when it comes to top speed and everything else. I think the manual tops out at 155mph tho

my base 05 AT TL is governed at 155mph, So I'm pretty shocked that 130mph is the governed for the Type S

I would complain about being limited to 130 or 150 or w/e but, i've owned my 6mt TL for 2 years and ive gone past 110 mph... 3 times, once when i was very upset about a girl.... No need to be going that fast or racing on streets. In a couple months ill be buying a 5at Type S. Traffic is a bitch with the manual

The 6 speed manual is limited at 155mph whereas the 5 speed auto is set to 130mph I'm guessing that's due to the not-so-sporty gear ratios of the auto transmission which kills the cars performance. I have an 08 Type S with 6speed manual, and I top out at 155mph, I can reach it in 5th gear. The car hits 155 just when the 5th gear reaches the redline - nicely done IMO. And with close ratios of the manual you top out pretty quick, the car will stay at high revs and in the VTEC range as you shift
