@resourcefulgirl trust has to be there. But in the process of doing things and helping members we either buy things together to cut the cost down or pack food together or help them move items into where they store their food so we can see what they have or know what they have.

RoL is already on the way out. You can be arrested and even executed without trial, just on the whim of the local military - in America, not yet in UK, but they're working on it. The only help you get from authority is emergency medical/fire cover. In many areas it no longer protects your property or your freedom of speech. I am glad that a few are trying to prepare although I suspect you will be summarily executed as a nuisance to the local authority when it deems itself powerful enough.

@survival3three thats my point, the aformentioned guy is an idiot, noones gonna want coins, food and things like that are way more valuable. im pretty prepared on the protection front, just gotta work on the fuel food water things like that, i see alot of people forget to mention horses too, when u cant get gas and u gotta go a long way a horse is the way to go, native americans would ride a horse to death then eat it sometimes.

@randallschecter yeah but think about it if a situation like this happened where SHTF a very drastic disaster where there was no law or rules, it was up to people to do things them selves, just think in that situation would you rather have protection(weapons) or some old coins, I'm not saying be like rambo or commando but be prepared, even people like bill gates would be useless in this situation

@survival3three there was a guy on the dommsday preppers show, who said he didnt need a gun or anything he would just trade some old coins (valuable today, but useless in survival mode) to people to let him live. haha he also happens to be from california and has a pony tail. imagine that.

Much to my surprise, people that I thought would understand our situation today did not care and were making no preps at all. The best I could get is "I hope nothing happens". So I prep alone but that is fine, But my frist Responsibility is to my family. I prep gold & silver, food, water and I have had a gun collection since I was 13 yo.
