Magnetyx - An Innovative Jump'n'Run Game

"Magnetyx" is a game prototype developed as a students' project accompanying the lecture "Game Architecture and Design" in Winter 2010/11 at the Entertainment Computing Group, University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. Magnetyx is a magnetic creature from outer space who crashed into the CERN Large Hadron Collider and now has to not only reassemble himself but also his spaceship. Using your magnetic powers, you have to steer Magnetyx through the LHC, gaining back parts of your body, which change the gameplay by allowing you to do new things like jumping higher or walking on two legs.
