  • He is a bit crazy and of course he admits himself to be very moody, but in my opinion he looks like a great guy! and of course he is the best guitarist there ever was and will be!

  • about highway star:

FYI-Ritchie's fingering the E7#9 chord at 1:14 doesn't quite equate to "Playing Henrix's tunes so easily." Nor does his playing the "Fire" riff, which he plays incorrectly, by the way.

  • @oberfour1

    "Blackmore blows Hendrix away."

THAT is great comedic writing. Thanks for the laugh!

"Second to none." Laugh my ass off.

  • It just goes to show that to be that good you ALWAYS need a good sense of humour! I mean, 'Mozart was dead at the time, but nobody knew it..'! How cool is that?

  • "I stole it" - so what you gonna do about it??? Haha. The Master.

I've not seen this before. What is it from???

  • @soumyaaymous Because blackmore blows Hendrix away. Jimi Hendrix was an inovator as in the wa pedel. Eddie VanHalen did the finger tapping.

Ritchie Blackmore is a genuine great guitar player that is second to none.

  • @jaganjacfan well i follow gillan's site called caramba ( check it out if u like gillan) ..there sm1 asked what his highest note was when he was at his best...to this he said its strange that one would equate hitting the highest note with him being at his best...he says that he thinks currently he is at his best as he has more control over his voice than he did in the past...i guess people judge child in time a lot by those famous high notes ( B5 or A5 i think) ....he cant do those anymore...

  • @ratbatblu absolutely..that part was hilarious...and i have started doing (dry humour ) this after seeing him do this in quite a few interviewes ( check out the one with rainbow where he says he expects the lead singer to occasionally drop his pants )......irritates the hell outta my friends who dont get it :D

  • I've met Ritchie 3x...he was always great to me, I'll never have a bad word to say about him. You either get his humor or you don't...those that don't just tend to not like him at all. Needless to say, he had me cracking up during this interview, especially the Mozart bit.

  • i just love the way he plays Hendrix's tunes so easily....not too many can do that :)

(let alone everything else he has done)
