@PoetryAddict8 I might read out some of her songs as poetry. That's an awesome idea; I always thought of her music as a kind of poetry. :)

sometimes i can almost feel the power

@ossim777 I have. I saw her in Chicago at the end of her first leg of the tour kicked off by Have One on Me, and it was the very last night of hte tour. I don't know if she had more intensity and energy because of that or what, but it was better than her albums. I was BLOWN. AWAY.

@apedosmi1 I agree 100%. I've loved her since the beginning, but this newest album felt the most accessible to me.

@Zitrone1212 What do you know about singing? Because if you knew anything about it, you'd realize she's wonderful at it. Just be grateful for music, friend. Naysaying isn't a positive act.

Her lyrics are so FUCKING powerful...
I show her to so many people, and only a few have appreciated her, just because of her unconventional voice. I trick them sometimes and read them some "Poetry" and they're always blown away and ask who the poet is, and I say "that chick with the "strangled cat voice" " Always knock them on their asses. I think her voice is beautiful anyways. It has a sense of innocence and wisdom.
FUCK
I can't deal with her talent. Can't do it.

Albeit a great performance, I've never heard Joanna produce quite as good live as on her album. Maybe I should attend one of her live sets before commenting, but her voice is a lot more inconsistent live than in recording. Like Ed Droste. But even with some of the mistakes it's still a very powerful performance. 4 of the songs off have one on me made my year end top ten, the most since Funeral in 2004 (4 as well).

Never before has a song dove into me so profoundly and explained EXACTLY what I was feeling... The feelings that I just can't explain to him. This is mind-blowing. My favourite song. Ever. My grad present is to fly out somewhere where she's performing :) It will be the best night of my life <3
