John was stoned most of the Liberty era. I mean waaay too much. Smart guy could get out thank God. JT is my favourite musician forever.

Just like you, I was only about a month old when this was taped, that's incredible to think I was born the year Liberty came out adn Duran Duran were about 10 years into their career by then!

@JT154U Yep. John has said in interviews that the only thing he remembers about the Liberty era was smoking a lot of hash oil. There are photos of him from around this time and slightly later where he is painfully - and I mean anorexically - thin, because he just stopped eating. Thank God he got clean, because if he hadn't he probably would have been dead by 1996.
