This is one of my male Phelsuma Grandis in his younger years. Today he's calmed down and allows me sometimes to give him baby food on the finger tip.

For anyone wondering about his sounds... well he still does all that while communicating his romantic intentions to his newly found girlfriend. It's pretty hilarious. Ironically... he's a complete gentleman when it comes to the love-making. :)

  • do they bite alot? i want one soooo badley but im afraid itll bite me, and size im also woried about, it looks kinda big, i want one thats about 5,6 inches but looks just like this? and i freak out if they hop and stuff, i want one that you can just pick up and itll just lazily walk all over u, is this the right type of gecko for me, or wat would u recomend? has to be green tho, no leopard or any like that, thx :)

I recommend you don't expect to pick it up. They don't like it at all and will bite you. Picking it up should only be done if really necessary like transporting to a vet. This one was particularly aggressive but he has calmed down recently and even licks baby food from my finger without hostile intentions. I'd never catch him though.

When you see my hand movinf towards him... it gets darker too... (it's called shadow) there is a 'plateau' above him which is directly under a spot. His color is fine, nothing to worry about.

  • Very nice day gecko!

    I have a male, too :)

  • thats great, you have an little emerald t rex lol

  • I feel sorry for this Gecko as it is not happy, and is under stress.

The colouring should be bright green not dark!
