Emad Dabiri, a.k.a. Infinity Dose, is a videoart anarchist who utilizes elements of found footage and sound. Specific pieces of mass media and pop culture are captured, dissected into their most basic and microscopic temporal forms, then rewoven to recontextualize or negate the original. Past and present examples have resulted in epileptic orgies of violence, signal degradation, and the split-second symbiosis of sound and image. Influences: Everything from the montage sequences of Eisenstein to the seizure-inducing work of Paul Browse, S.P.K., Clock DVA, Portion Control, Manufacture, Converter, Front 242, Controlled Bleeding, zoviet*france:, Front Line Assembly, The Fourth Man, Hour of the Furnaces, Battle of Algiers, The Killing of America, a lot of PBS Frontline documentaries, Fallout: A Post-Apocalyptic Role Playing Game, and moving on into infinity.
