On a wet and dreary day (9/4), it was decided to go for a drive down to the main standard gauge line from Melbourne to Adelaide. First stop was Vite Vite loop. Further stops were made at Westmere, Tatyoon and finally Maroona. It was at Maroona that the stick for the Up was at red. By the time we had made our way to the station for a poke about, the stick had changed to yellow. A short time later, the PM6 freight glided through. Upon "Andy Panning" for the trailing shot, a headlight was noticed slowly descending the hill to the Maroona arrival stick off the Portland branch. A short time later, T385, C501 and TL153 rumbled into the yard. TL153 was dropped off, and the train headed westwards...
that second train sounds so good.......
