After a very hot day this scary looking storm cell hit suddenly on Thursday afternoon near Caloundra on Queenslands Sunshine Coast.
Fortunately it looked worse than it turned out to be, a bit of thunder and about 25mm of rain in thirty minutes but as you can see some spectacular cloud formations. Australia is experiencing "La Nina" at the moment which has resulted in good rains in many formerly drought stricken areas.

  • We get pretty much the same storms in Brazil during summer. Wot sort of temperature do you guys get in December and January? In São Paulo it can be as high as 35 degrees Celsius sometimes. Your town looks much nicer though, so green and clean...São Paulo is grey and wherever you go to you are always surrounded by dirty streets, concrete blocks, traffic, pollution, smelly beggars...you r more than welcome to come pay us a visit.

  • Ave temp at that time of year here between 28 and 30 degrees celsius but like you we can temperatures well into the thirties. Yes it is green and clean here but still people complain ! We are the "lucky country" but rapid development is a big problem

    thanks for watching

  • come try live in scotland we get that every day ohh how i wish i lived in the sunshine coast it looks great

  • Australia and the Sunshine Coast are probably one the best places in the world to live, the best time to visit is our Winter (June July August) when the weather is dry and temps about 21 - 22 degrees centigrade , Scotland is beautiful too but you can keep the weather !

Thanks for looking at the clip
