I wanted to put together a video that reminds us just how small we are in this wonderful universe. This is dedication to Carl Sagan.

I'm not sure you understand the atheist position. But, yes, agnostic is the safer title to give yourself. Saying "I don't know" is more humble. But I am as sure that god does not exist as I am sure there is not a giant teapot in orbit around Jupiter, or unicorns, toothfairies, pots of gold at the end of the rainbow, or a bogeyman under my bed. There are some things that cannot be proven, but are reduced to absurdity over time.

The agnostic and atheistic positions are not mutually exclusive. You can be an agnostic atheist. Someone who lacks belief in god, and who also isn't sure if he exists or not.

Agnostics do not believe.

Ahtiests believe not.

Neither believe in god.

It's kind of like 'all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares'.

Eventually, agnostics may come to a point where they ask theselves, 'Why am I keeping a place holder open for this belief when I don't for so many others of equally low evidence?' If fear is the only answer, they have unfinished business to attend to concerning the subject.
