Hello again everyone! Today we'll learn how to play Charlie by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, off of the album Stadium Arcadium. Tuned up and ready to go?
In this lesson we'll be covering the layout and parts of the song, as well as the solo, in the style of John Frusciante. It's in the key of Gm, so be familiar with that scale, as well as the Gm Pentatonic scale.

Gtr 1 is the rhythm guitar, panned hard right, with a little slapback delay.
The other guitars are lead, panned left with some reverb.

thanks!! very well explained. thing that kills me about john is that most of what he plays is so simple, like common sense but with such feel that you have to have the soul to pull it off

@choplass of couse but holding is in what most people struggle in the bass you're only be doing chords i mena like 3 notes chords if you're a intermedaite to advanced player.
you get the idea . it's easier to learn bass

@dnnysrock Just as there are simple parts for a six string Guitar, there are simple parts for Bass Guitar.
The same can be said inversely.
