Prometheus society is a High IQ society that selects 1 in 32,000 from tests like the Titan test out of 48 questions. Christopher Langan was close to being the brightest guy in the world. He is a bouncer at a bar. This is a joke that Roddy Young wrote.

Chris Langan is not even the best at IQ tests. There are a couple people in the Mega Society that are better at IQ tests...he is just the most obsessed with IQ.

I didn't get every word of this, but I gather the point is the person ASKING the questions (the bar employee) was the smartest one. Chris Langan was famous for having been a bar bouncer for 20 years.
