  • @10andpregnant LOL IKR? Even if the were speaking with French accents . . . that doesn't make it more "authentic." In reality, they wouldn't be speaking accented English AT ALL. They'd be speaking French! So people need to just let it be. It's called suspension of disbelief. Unless you want to read subtitles. =P

  • Don't you just Hate when American Film makers try to do European History films? The Yanks can barely get their own History correct! Accents people! ! !

  • @poseidonrocks123 Lol, from the rich side of things

  • me encanta esta pelicula, y es maria antonieta no la revolucion francesa... es por eso que el contenido historico pasa a segundo termino.

  • @Charmedfan2010 Screw accents, they should speak French!

  • @Charmedfan2010 hahah you are right!

but we can't forget Marie Antoinette was from Austria and she wasn't French at all =)

  • I think people who bitch over accents are the worst. Sure, it would be nice to have authenticity, but that's not how the English-speaking movie industry works. I'm not going to miss out on a good movie over a minor setback like accents...

    This was a beautiful film.

  • I am frustrated that Kristen did not even attempt an accent in the slightest! She is supposed to be a French Queen for pete's sake! And yet she sounds completely american- ya that's soo realistic.

Whatever- I am still slightly interested in seeing this.

  • Marie Antoinette was never in the Bastille. She was imprisoned first in the Temple with her family, then after the King's execution she was sent alone to the Conciergerie
