http://www.mimirsoft.com In this video, we introduce the ViewHolder class, and why we like it. The ViewHolder class is used in conjunction with an ArrayAdapter, to cache the results of all findViewById calls. This speeds up our lists by up to 30 percent when we start dealing with very large lists.

  • Other then the hardware I mentioned, and the fact that I am running at half resolution, I'm not doing anything special.

  • Its running on a Core i3 530 with 4GB of Ram running windows 7 64bit. I only use this machine for filming the vids. Previously, I had used a Core 2 Duo with 2GB of ram on winXp, that was pretty slow. The actual dev work I do on a core i5-2500k with 8gb on a Ubuntu 11-4. It runs REALLY fast on that
