When asked to explain her no vote on the 2008 farm bill and then rejecting President Bush's veto, U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a Tennessee Republican from the 7th Dist., says the media is misunderstanding her vote. She made the comments in Nashville after a joint press conference with U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper, a Tennessee Democrat from the 5th Dist., announcing a bill that would clarify federal laws regarding illegal woods, such as those that were used in the raid on Gibson Guitar Corp. in Nashville and Memphis.
