Sorry for the audio quality! From a cd, but they didn't have a good 78, clearly!
Willard Robison is mostly forgotten today, but wrote and sang some wonderful songs. Wrote, sand and plays the piano here.
Can't find photos of him on the web to save my life. This image is from a cd of his music. Really need to get this one!

  • Hey Ziggy, Thanks for sharing this track from our SUPERBATONE CD of Willard Robison's music, and for using the cover art as your "video." The original 78 actually was in good condition, but Perfect records are inherently noisy, being made of rather imperfect material.

This disc, and our other intriguing historical releases, is available from our website (Google, please). Come check us out!

  • @MrSuperbatone Hey Brad! Glad to help promote the cd (Need to grab it for sure, but my cd budget is quite samll right now!) but I got this track off the 1993 2 cd set Art Deco-The Crooners. It's track 2 on the first cd. Could it be the same 78 was used for the track on your cd as well??? Will check out your website right now, and hope others will too!

  • Thanks, Ziggy. The transfer DID sound a little different from mine. I thought maybe you had played with it. The Superbatone CD is now (April, 2011) extensively revised, with about a million clicks and pops thankfully removed from those im-Perfect 78 surfaces!.

Oh, I forgot to mention: The year of this song and the recording is 1928, not 1926.
