  • A man after my own heart; he's aware of the technological, imaginative, economic, and social dynamic of a digital market and how he can work to not only thrive, but make it better for everyone as a whole.

  • Only thing that could make steam easier and lower piracy is the ability to pay without a credit card, like Xbox Live points cards but steam cards like 10$ in stream credit for 12$ in a store if you don't use credit cards.

No way, man, there was never a single person in the world who actually thinks he's stupid. You know, he willingly dropped out of Harvard to take a contract with Microsoft, then willingly broke off of Microsoft to make Valve.

It takes more than balls and wits to leave success behind in order to venture into new ideas.

  • I think Valve is a pretty cool guy. Eh fights piracy by offering a better service, and doesn't afraid of anything.

  • He refers to "service" many times. EA, Ubisoft, Activision have forgotten that. Maybe they shouldn't have had an IPO.

  • thanks gabe

  • They never have a 3 on the title eh Gabe

  • Gabe Newell 2012

  • Say what you want about his weight (he's losing it by the way). He is one smart man.
